Personal approach to treatment
Hello! My name is Charita Cheever and I’m a licensed mental health counselor. I have over 13 years of experience in the mental health arena and over 7 years experience working in therapy as a mental health provider. My clinical path has brought me to focus on Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use, Multicultural Issues, Suicidal Ideation and Trauma. In session, we’ll work from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Activity-based interventions. Clients are encouraged throughout the therapy process to take what’s learned in sessions and apply it to everyday life. If this is your first time participating in therapy, you’re in the right place. In the first session, we’ll explore your needs and how you may get the most out of your experience and discuss you individual treatment plan. Setting goals is an important part of the therapy process. Goals provide a chance to become active participants in your therapy process, which promotes increased confidence and ways to measure progress.
